News Outlet Registration

At Acme Ventures LLC, we understand that many businesses may own or operate multiple outlets, such as several newspapers across different regions, a local and state edition, or multiple broadcast stations. To accommodate these diverse needs, we’ve set up our system to allow businesses to register multiple outlets under a single business account. This ensures streamlined billing and service management, making it easier for you to access the services we provide.

What is a Business Account?
A Business Account is the primary account used for billing and managing all of your outlets under Acme Ventures LLC, the parent company of Acme News. This account is where all services, licenses, and billing for your outlets are handled. It allows you to track the services provided to each outlet, consolidate billing, and manage multiple outlets efficiently without the need for separate accounts for each one.

What is an Outlet?
An Outlet refers to a single media operation under a business, such as a specific newspaper, radio station, TV station, or digital platform. Outlets may vary in terms of their location, publication frequency, and type (e.g., print, digital, broadcast).

EXAMPLE STRUCTURE

  • 🏢 Business Account - (News Company Inc)
    • Outlet - (Main Street Times) 📰 + 🌐
    • Outlet - (Rolling Hills Record) 📰 + 🌐
    • Outlet - (Wave Gazette) 🌐 + 📱

You can register as many outlets as necessary under your Business Account to reflect the different entities your business operates.

Why is This Necessary?
Due to differences in asset ownership, licensing, style, and other business and editorial requirements for each outlet, it is important for Acme News to track work separately for each outlet. This ensures that each outlet receives the appropriate services, licenses, and billing. It is also necessary for accounting and tax purposes.

What if I'm an Independent Outlet?
If you operate as an independent outlet, you may simply register your outlet under the business name in which you operate. This can be an LLC, organization, or if you are a citizen journalist under an assumed name. (You will need to have either an EIN or proof of a business to access our services.)
